A adventure & timed navigation rally based in the Eastern Free State in the town of Vrede. Escape the city this January and experience the beauty of the highveld and endless rolling hills.
The course follows 180km journey on dirt roads, across bridges, through mud. You follow your route card, marked with predetermined control points to pave your way to victory. The car that arrives at the finish line with closest average time, wins the title of the Vrede Padvat 2026 Victor!
A non-profit event where all the proceedings go to the Vrede Old Age home.

It concludes with an award ceremony, delicious Free State lamb on the spit braai, socializing, and sharing experiences from the day.
The entry fee is R1500 per team of two, which includes all materials, directions, and scorecards for the route, as well as coffee, lunch, and dinner. Your ticket not only covers a day filled with community spirit, adventure, and laughter, but also supports local home for the elderly.
