Mampoer Festival 2026

Pensioners are warmly invited to enjoy a relaxed and memorable day at the Mampoer Festival on Saturday, 6 June 2026 at the historic Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum. Come and experience the charm of the countryside with traditional mampoer tastings, live music, vintage tractors and vehicles, ox-wagon rides, and a wonderful selection of food and craft stalls. It’s the perfect outing to enjoy good company, great entertainment, and the rich heritage of our farming traditions in a beautiful and relaxed setting. The Mampoer Festival is a family-friendly celebration with plenty of fun activities specially for children.

Young visitors can enjoy ox-wagon rides, tractor rides, and even camel rides, along with jumping castles, a petting zoo, exciting dog shows, and traditional Boere sport and games. Kids can also explore the old farmyard and meet real farm animals, making it a wonderful hands-on countryside experience.

A visit to the historic Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is part of the adventure too. Children can step back in time while exploring the 1800s farmhouse and working farm exhibits.

And of course, no festival day is complete without lots of delicious ice cream and treats to keep the smiles going all day long!

Dogs on a leash are welcome at the beautiful Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum, as the museum grounds are known for being a pet-friendly environment where the whole family — including your four-legged companions — can enjoy the day together.

During this year’s Mampoer Festival, visitors can also look forward to a special Doggy Hour presented by the SA Animal Cancer Association.

This fun family activity takes place from 10h00 to 12h00 and will feature wonderful interactions with dogs and horses, making it a memorable experience for animal lovers of all ages
